Hebrews 10:10
Do we really need to add “of God” here?
Hebrews 10 in the HCSBse seems to have taken a step back for me.

Hebrews 10:25

(NKJV) “not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another , and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.”

(NASB) “not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near.”

(ESV) “not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.”

(TNIV) “not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”

(NET) “not abandoning our own meetings, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging each other, and even more so because you see the day drawing near.”

(NLTse) “And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.”

(CEV) “Some people have gotten out of the habit of meeting for worship, but we must not do that. We should keep on encouraging each other, especially since you know that the day of the Lord’s coming is getting closer.”

(NCV) “You should not stay away from the church meetings, as some are doing, but you should meet together and encourage each other. Do this even more as you see the day coming.”

The main phrase under consideration here according to Thayer
1) a gathering together in one place
2) the (religious) assembly (of Christians)

According to Strong
From G1996; a complete collection; specifically a Christian meeting (for worship): – assembling (gathering) together.

There may be others, but the HCSBse and CEV stand alone in this line-up in adding “worship” to the meetings they were not to forsake. It is sad to see so many christians doing this exact same thing today. Stop Quibbling And Start Assembling! When your congregation meets, you should be there!

Hebrews 10:37

Umm, the HCSBse is missing a “not”! Is this a error only in the digital version?
